Summer

Summer has been relatively good to me so far. I've been working a good amount, hopefully I'll get more hours soon. I want to make lots of money. I've been seeing Mallorie and my friends a lot, so thats good. I've practiced and jammed with a few different bands. I've partied a bit. All in all, summer has been off to a good start. However, nothing's perfect. My dad's dad passed away yesterday and my mom and I are going down to Virginia tonight. Mike and my dad are already there. There will be a memorial service on Wednesday night, and I'll be back Thursday. On a lighter note, (or heavier haha I'm funny), Ozzfest is Friday. Should be fun. Hopefully everyone is alright down in Virginia. Give me a call anytime anyone. It'd be cool, I'll miss you all. Yep.<br />RIP Joe Nevin Sr. June 26, 1922 - July 9, 2005 .

This is Spinal Tap

Yea so Friday was disaster city. I woke up feeling off, went to school and left to go home and sleep, since I was going to a show in Providence that night. I wanted to be well rested. Well waddayaknow, I was sick. So I take some advil and feel better, and Mallorie and I get in my car and begin the descent to Rhode Island. After about 20 minutes, we hit a shitload of traffic on I-93 in Boston. It doesn't stop until we move onto I-95, somewhere near Quincy or Milton. Long story short, we get there in about 2 and a half hours, rather than the one it usually takes. Whetever, The Machine (the Pink Floyd Tribute band we went to see there) was INCREDIBLE. They played Dogs AND Sheep, among many many other wonderful Pink Floyd tunes. I know that means nothing to most readers but it was simply fabulous. And the bassist WAS Fitzy in 20 years. Anyways, I got home, passed out, and Saturday morning I awoke still feeling shitty. I got tea with Mallorie, bought some Bob Dylan, and hit up some tasty graduation parties. I embarked on a night of fun with Nick, Ross and Greg, and we met up with Dave as well. We ended up on a ridiculous food scavenger hunt at Johnnys in which I found a bag of treats entitled "Cookie Parade". Laughter followed, and then I went home. I made the mistake of telling my mom that my neck was stiff, and the next thing I knew I was on my way to the hospital with my dad. They thought I had Meningitis or something associated with stiff neck, fever and soar throat, all of which I had I guess. So we get there at about midnight and aren't even seen until 1:30. Well, we're in a room at 1:30, we weren't seen until 2:30 or so. So they decided to take a shitload of blood from me and hook up an IV. Doesn't this sound familiar. Then guess what I got?? A catscan! They put Iodine in my blood and it made my body feel so hot and fucked up. I guess you can't really understand unless you have iodine injected into your blood. It made me feel like i pissed myself. It was intense, probably EXACTLY the same as heroin. I'm pretty much a junkie at this point. Anyway, when the results come back inconclusive, I get to embark on another magical journey. Yep that's right, a spinal tap. They stuck a needle into my spine and took out fluids and such. It was absolute chaos. Long story short (and by short I mean long), I ended up getting home at 7:30am. What a fun night!!!!! Now I'm chilling here sweating like there's no tomorrow. Leave some love, I need it.

Ok let's have a poll, is it better to play real notes in a jam or to go crazy and let your mind transcend into another world of music (aka make noise and hit the guitar and not play well)? I have fun sounding like shit. But the talent show went well. Hopefully I'll sound better when i try harder. Maybe i try hard and just suck anyways. But poll it up. Or something. My band played two excellent shows, even though we got screwed over on time at one and my strap broke like three times at the other. I have an amazing girlfriend. I love my friends. The Garment District is having a half off everything sale this weekend. Trail of Dead is coming around soon. Working out is going well, I do it a lot. My parents think I do drugs.
